Things I cannot do

I cannot change, move or cancel a booking, because I am an independent writer and not the seller. If you booked through GetYourGuide, your confirmation email has the link that does it, and every cruise listed on this site can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before it starts. If you bought at the quay, that is between you and the operator.

I also cannot tell you whether a given sailing will run. Weather, tide and ice all get a vote, and the operator on the Mostraumen route says as much in its own words: ice blocking the original route can lead to an alternative route choice. That is a real winter possibility, not boilerplate — Mofjorden, where the boat turns, freezes at its innermost end in most years. What changes month by month is set out here.

Corrections, which are the emails I want most

Prices, ratings and review counts on this site were read from the listings on 14 September 2026 and they move. Departure times change with the season, quays occasionally change, and operators add and drop boats. If a figure here is stale, tell me which page and I will fix it. The reviews and the cost page are the two most likely to drift, and the pier page is the one where being wrong costs a reader a sailing.

Where this is written from

Bergen, a few minutes from both departure quays. The two are about 320 m apart on foot: Zachariasbryggen at Torget 2, which is the Fish Market itself, and Børshopen at Strandkaien 13.
